Point to Point Connectivity using VoIPA very interesting application of VoIP gateways and WiFi bridges, where Landline PSTN can be transported to a point beyond telecom network. The distance between point of origination and termination depends upon the WiFi bridge(s) used to span the distance.
ComponentsIn the example, components used would be as under:
FXO (e.g DVG 6004s) to be used on CO (central office) side; connected with PSTN lines. FXS (e.g LinkSys PAP2T) to be used on user side; connected with POTS. WiFi Bridge to span the distance between FXO and FXS; a large variety is available. Very good yet economical solutions are provided by http://www.ubnt.com/ That's all; there is no softswitch, IP PBX or other hardware required. Connection and ConfigurationI am currently working on simple step by step configurations to publish here. please contact.
